Shade the Changing Man v1 #1, 1977 - From the extra-dimensional world of Meta, Rac Shade arrives on Earth trying to clear his name from a crime he didn't commit. Equipped with an m-vest, its distortion powers allow him to pursue his goal. Created, written (along with Michael Fleisher) and drawn by Steve Ditko, this first issue is dialogue-heavy and difficult to follow. His layouts are repetitive and filled with too many panels. On the other hand, his drawings are visually dense and enthusiastically detailed.
