Outlaws #9 |
Outlaws v1 #9, 1949 - After killing a sheriff, Boone Marlow abandons his brothers to take the blame.
Frank Frazetta starts the tale with a large opening panel, showing the outlaw cornered and outnumbered. One of the artist's early works, the layouts and pacing are quite rudimentary. His draftsmanship is better than most, but faces and figures lack definition. Frazetta's talent is evident, but far from polished. Other artists in this issue include Paul Reinman and Art Gates.
