Tex Ritter Western #39 - Al Williamson art

Tex Ritter #39
Tex Ritter Western v1 #38, 1958 - A stranger arrives in town, finding himself at olds with the local bully and his minions. This is Al Williamson's first and only effort on the series. His artwork is loose and painterly, made more so by Angelo Torres' partial inks. A few panels rely too much on shadows to obscure certain faces and figures (see interior page above). Otherwise, Williamson's contribution generally meets expectations Other artists in this golden age western comic include Charles Nicholas and Sal Trapani. This is 1 of 1 Tex Ritter Western issues by Williamson.
