Alpha Flight v1 #8, 1984 - Aurora is kidnapped by Deadly Earnest, prompting Northstar to rescue her from the villain's lair. A masked, sword-wielding woman named Nemesis (her first appearance) joins his cause against the common enemy. John Byrne's artwork is consistent with previous issues, opening with a bold splash that segues into a recap of events. Some panels are more detailed than others, especially the background architecture and interiors. Northstar's discovery of his sister is a pivotal scene, emphasized by her prominence within the layout (see interior page below).
