Eerie v3 #70, 1975 - Bernie Wrightson opens the issue with a particularly fine frontispiece. Cousin Eerie stands against a grim and foreboding landscape while setting the mood for the stories to follow. The brushwork alone is exemplary, using a variety of textures to full effect. The storm clouds in the background are especially memorable. As usual, the two-color printing doesn't detract from the artwork's graphic quality. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Paul Neary, Esteban Maroto, Jose Ortiz and Gonzalo Mayo. This is 12 of 14 Eerie issues by Wrightson.
