Batman v1 #229, 1971 - Fear grips the Batman's face as he becomes trapped trapped in an insane asylum. An Igor-like character creeps along in the background, along with suggestively evil shadows. Neal Adams' cover conveys a mood not dissimilar to his many DC horror covers (drawn around the same time period). Dick Giordano does his usually capable job with the inks. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Irv Novick and Dick Giordano. This is 13 of 30 Batman issues by Adams.
