Amazing Spider-man v1 #13, 1964 - Swirling mists announce the arrival of a new super-villain for Spidey. Steve Ditko's cover does a splendid job demonstrating how ineffectual Spidey's webbing is against Mysterio. The story art is similarly well drawn and meticulously paced. For the final confrontation between the two foes, a movie studio serves as an unexpected backdrop. Ditko creatively employs a faux lunar landscape as an excuse for more interesting imagery.
