House of Secrets #123 - Alex Toth art

House of Secrets #123
House of Secrets v1 #123, 1974 - Unexpectedly transported to the time of  Camelot, a lowly ice cream man wows King Arthur and his knights with his delicious concoctions. With a nod to Mark Twain, this farcical tale has its darker moments, deftly illustrated by Alex Toth. His noble drawings are splendidly laid out and organized (see interior page below), contributing to the overall excellent visual storytelling. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Leandro Sesarego. Cover by Frank Robbins. This is 8 of 8 House of Secrets issues by Toth. /// Toth gallery

Far out! I didn't know about this issue. I was only aware of it because it had a cover drawn by Frank Robbins, something of a rarity.

Robbins had a strange, but recognizable style. He had some interesting work on DC's Plop, Detective Comics and the Shadow as well.
