Haunt of Horror #1 - Frank Brunner, Mike Ploog art + 1st issue

Haunt of Horror #1
Haunt of Horror v1 #1, 1973 - Mostly text stories with accompanying illustrations, this digest-sized first issue boasts writing from such luminaries as Fritz Leiber and Harlan Ellison. The art is as varied as the stories, but the work of both Mike Ploog and Frank Brunner stands out from the rest. Their respective styles work perfectly in tandem with their assignments: a werewolf story (Ploog) and a tale of sorcery (Brunner). Superb renderings from both artists. This issue also includes artwork by Gil Kane and Gene Colan. This is 1 of 2 Haunt of Horror issues by Brunner and 1 of 1 Haunt of Horror issues by Ploog. /// key 1st issue
