Western Roundup v1 #13, 1956 - A local boy runs afoul of bank robbers, who tie him up in a nearby cave. Dale Evans searches for him at the behest of his worried mother. Russ Manning's art includes plenty of detail but his draftsmanship lacks the usual polish. On a positive note, the artist uses more open framed panels, bringing depth and variation to the layouts. Other features include Roy Rogers, Rex Allen and Gene Autry among others. In addition to Manning, there's artwork by Mike Arens, Nicholas Firfires, Nat Edson, Tony Sgroi and Tom Cooke. Photo cover.
