Youthful Romances v1 #8, 1951 - Jealously emerges when two women vie for the affections of the local lifeguard. While Wally Wood's work is quickly recognizable, his drawing skills lack polish. Details such as sailboats and seagulls add depth, but the figures leave much to be desired. While romance comics are generally aimed at female readers, this notorious "headlights" cover also makes an appeal to young males. This is 1 of 1 Youthful Romances issues by Wood.

Are you sure? The postures seem very Wood-like, but the inking all over is very crude. In particular notice the awkward hatching on the neck of the woman in the foreground.
Also, the readhead's head is ridiculously small in proportion.

Admittedly, the work is crude but not inconsistent with Wood's early works. Though Joe Orlando and Sid Check had similar styles, I do believe this is by Wood.
