Western Roundup v1 #11, 1955 - Within this collection of western tales, Russ Manning begins drawing the Dale Evans features. In this relatively short story, the Queen of the West finds a little girl that may have stumbled upon a counterfeiting ring. While Manning's art is better than most, the drawings and layouts certainly display his inexperience. To his credit, there seems to be no lack of effort and detail. Other features in this golden age comic include Roy Rogers, Rex Allen and Gene Autry. Photo cover.
