Western Roundup v1 #17, 1957 - At a local rodeo, the near-sabotage of a bronco busting contest leads Dale Evans to help find the perpetrator. Though shorter than many of the other features (including Roy Rogers, Rex Allen, Gene Autry and more), this Russ Manning tale makes up for it with superb draftsmanship. Unlike most of the issue, this story is drawn with smooth precision and clarity. Manning also adds small touches throughout to enhance the settings. Other artists in this issue include Nat Edson and Tom Massey.
