True Bride-To-Be Romances v1 #20, 1956 - With ring in hand, a country boy appears to have lost out to a suitor from the city. Jack Kirby plays up the rural setting, including a barn, wooden fence and expanse of land as part of the scenery. Well placed figures in the foreground, mid-ground and background add to the sense of depth. Kirby's drawing of the engaged couple is nicely portrayed, enhanced further by the sensitive inks of an unknown collaborator. Other artists in this golden age comic include Bill Prentice and Bob Powell. This is 3 of 3
