Monster Hunters #8 - Steve Ditko art

Monster Hunters v1 #8, 1976 - Dragging his wife out to a remote swamp, a young scientist captures a legendary half-man, half-amphibian. Like many of his Charlton horror tales, Steve Ditko's drawings are graphic and expressive. His style may be too simplistic for the "frogman" creature, but it does add a surrealistic tone to the rural setting. Other artists in this issue include Tom Sutton. This is number 3 of 4 Monster Hunters issues with Ditko art and/or covers (not including reprints). See today's posts or more Ditko or Monster Hunters issues. See also this blog's Ditko checklist.
