Aces High #4 |
Aces High v1 #4, 1955 - Brimming with self-confidence, a new kid joins the squadron and subsequently goes up against the most feared German fighter pilot.
Wally Wood's inking glides over his pencils, sensitively adding detail and definition. His keen distribution of light and dark is reinforced by careful application of grey tints. As good as Wood's previous issues are, this story of novices and veterans is his best yet on the series. This story was later reprinted in
Aces High v2 #4. Other artists in this golden age comic include Bernard Krigstein, Jack Davis and George Evans. This is 4 of 5
Aces High issues by
Wood.
