X-Men #3 - Jack Kirby art & cover + 1st Blob

Jack Kirby
X-Men v1 #3, 1964 - A new mutant at a local circus demonstrates the unusual power to control his own mass. The Blob, making his first appearance, is either a worthy addition to the team or a dangerous new foe. Jack Kirby's drawings are more interesting due to the various circus performers and settings in the story. The Beast's entanglement with two trapeze artists is especially well sequenced (see interior page below). As in many Kirby efforts, this Stan Lee tale is heavy with energy and excitement. This story was later reprinted in Amazing Adventures v4 #6.
