Treasure Comics v2 #10, 1947 - Despite
Jack Kirby's exotic cover, no such story exists inside. Still, this drawing of a swordsman surrounded by armed monkeys is eye-catching and colorful. Despite the frenetic action, the figures are placed within a unified layout. Unrelated but capably drawn is Kirby's tale of a brutal murder, correctly predicted by a traveling stage mystic. Rendered in the artist's eclectic graphic style, the story serves mostly to entice readers to buy Headline Comics, a crime genre title by the same publisher. Other artists in this issue include Gil Kane, Dan Barry and Mort Meskin. This is 1 of 1
