Weird Fantasy v2 #20 |
Weird Fantasy v2 #20, 1953 - Interestingly, the feature story is told from the perspective of a rocket ship in the distant future. This Ray Bradbury adaptation is delicately penciled by
Al Williamson and inked by
Frank Frazetta. Halftones are used abundantly throughout (see interior page below), increasing depth in most instances. The opening panel is the most memorable scene, partly due to the larger size. While an equal contributor, Frazetta's style is most obvious on page 6. Other artists in this golden age age science fiction comic include Will Elder, Al Feldstein, Jack Kamen, Joe Orlando and John Severin. Cover by Feldstein. This is 2 of 3
Weird Fantasy v2 issues by
Frazetta and 7 of 8 Weird Fantasy v2 issues by
Williamson.
