Jim Steranko |
Fantastic Four v1 #130, 1973 -
Jim Steranko does his first of three Fantastic Four covers. The placement of no less than six figures is a challenge for anyone, but here the artist balances the background chaos with an enlarged Thing in the foreground. The contrast makes the layout more compelling while increasing the depth of the scene. Joe Sinnott isn't quite the best match stylistically, but his inking doesn't detract from the pencils. Other artists in this bronze age comic include John Buscema. This is 1 of 3
