Mister Miracle v1 #11, 1972 - Doctor Bedlam, the master of nightmares, arrives from Apokolips intent on revenge. Jack Kirby seems to delight in depicting the various traps and monstrosities the story calls for. Unlike previous issues, there is only a single splash page, but an exceptional two page spread immediately follows. The dynamic view from above perfectly sets the stage for yet another of Mister Miracle's death defying performances. Mike Royer's inks are a bit less precise than previous issues, but no less efficient. This is 11 of 18 Mister Miracle issues by Kirby. /// Kirby gallery
