The Rook #112 |
The Rook v1 #12, 1981 - Among several back-up stories in this issue,
Nestor Redondo introduces a horrific creature simply called "The Bat". No stranger to horror comics, the artist's fluid style makes the tale that much more precious and sophisticated. Redondo's opening full page splash is beautifully rendered, even for a character that seems derivative of DC Comics' Man-Bat. Other artists in this bronze age science fiction magazine include Lee Elias, Rudy Nebres, John Severin and Bill Draut. Cover by Bob Larkin. This is 2 of 2
