Lawman #4 - non-attributed Alex Toth art

Lawman v1 #4, 1960 - Alex Toth's short story serves as an intermission between the two main features (based on the Lawman television show. No stranger to the western genre, the artist draws the tale of horse thievery and mistaken identity. Toth delivers a disappointingly mediocre effort. The pacing and layouts are monotonous. His draftsmanship is erratic and far from his usually high standards. Other artists in this issue include Dan Spiegle. This is number 1 of 1 Lawman issues with Toth art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Toth or Lawman issues. See also this blog's Toth checklist.
