Angel and the Ape v1 #6, 1969 - Comparing Bob Oksner's solo cover with his interior stories with Wally Wood, it's easy to see both the similarities and differences between the artists. While both are talented, Wood's sensitive inking elevates both the humorous and suggestive elements. The opening tale has more obvious bondage and cheesecake scenes, but "The Ape of 1,000 Disguises" is generally more detailed and more thoughtfully composed. Joe Orlando also contributes art for a single page text story. The series continues from here as Meet Angel. This silver age comic includes cover art by Bob Oksner. This is 5 of 5 Angel and the Ape issues by Wood.
