Captain America #127 |
Captain America v1 #127, 1970 - Nick Fury and SHIELD have a traitor in their midst, and the finger points to Cap as their main suspect. Gene Colan drew some of his finest stories on this title, including this one inked by Wally Wood. The former EC artist maintains the integrity of the drawings, adding his own unique flourish. Wood's style is most evident on the faces (pages 4,9,13) and some of the finer details. Despite the two artists' differing styles, the resulting artwork is extremely satisfying. Other artists in this bronze age comic include cover artist Marie Severin. This is 1 of 1 Captain America issues by Wood.
