Adventure Into Mystery #4 |
Adventure Into Mystery v1 #4, 1956 - The legendary Valley of the Giants becomes the obsession of a modern day explorer, to the dismay of his friend.
Al Williamson draws their expeditionary journey into the jungle interior of Martinique. No stranger to exotic locales, the artist details much of the scenery. A fallen tree becomes a convenient bridge on page two, its bark lavishly textured. The inking appears to have been done by Williamson himself, but the result is loose and lacking in definition in general. Other artists in this issue include Don Heck, Chuck Miller, Bob Powell, George Roussos and Ed Winiarski. Cover by Carl Burgos. This is 1 of 1
