The Fly v1 #2, 1983 - Similarly posed, the Fly and Fly-Girl stand almost defiantly in this patriotic-themed cover.
Jim Steranko demonstrates his superb design sense, placing and sizing elements into a cohesive whole. Especially clever is the use of the Statue of Liberty to create a triad of figures.
Steve Ditko's two stories have different inkers (including himself), giving readers a chance to compare and contrast. His eclectic style comes through especially on three eye-catching splash pages. Other artists in this issue include Rich Buckler and Ricardo Villagran. This is 1 of 8
