House of Mystery #250 |
House of Mystery v1 #250, 1977 - A ambitious immigrant marries a woman who can use witchcraft to further his career.
Alex Nino's opening splash is a rarity among his bronze age works, and is beautifully done here. Barren trees provide shade for a funeral procession while the main characters look on from a distance. The artist's six panel grid on almost every page could have been monotonous, but Nino varies the scenes enough to keep it interesting. Other artists in this bronze age comic include Leo Duranova. Cover by Ernie Chua. The final panel of another funeral is nearly as well illustrated as the first. This is 8 of 14
