Marvel Premiere #19 / Iron Fist - non-attributed Neal Adams art, Jim Starlin cover

Jim Starlin
Marvel Premiere v1 #19 featuring Iron Fist, 1974 - Making her first appearance, Colleen Wing brings Iron Fist to her father, a professor whose been targeted by the cult of Kara-Kai. Neal Adams lends a hand penciling two story pages and perhaps some panels and figures. For such as small contribution, the artist adds a marked improvement to the story. Jim Starlin's cover is a crowded layout with little hierarchy and an almost unrecognizable style. Note that comic book guides neglected to attribute both Adams and Starlin in this issue. Other artists in this issue include Larry Hama. This is number 4 of 4 Marvel Premiere issues with Adams art and/or covers and number 2 of 2 Marvel Premiere issues with Starlin art and/or covers.

  1. Marvel Comics Database credits Jim Starlin and Al Milgrom with the cover. I would never have guessed it.
