Jann of the Jungle #10 - Al Williamson cover

Al Williamson
Jann of the Jungle v1 #10, 1956 - The title heroine appears poised on this Al Williamson cover, even during a surprise attack. She clutches a vine in one hand, counterbalancing the knife she wields in the other. The encroaching lion on the right is not particularly well drawn, possibly altered by inker Vince Colletta. Williamson drew relatively few covers, making this issue somewhat of a rarity. This is 1 of 3 Jann of the Jungle issues by Williamson.

Ya but look at Jann, man. Nobody could draw beautiful women as well as Vinnie Colletta did.

I have to disagree there. Colletta's ok, but Wally Wood, Matt Baker, Neal Adams, and Nestor Redondo were all better at illustrating beautiful women.

Everett did the layout but the art is Vinnie's, like it or not. And I will also have to disagree with Ted because none of those guys could do sexy like Colletta did sexy.
