Gunsmoke Western #32 |
Gunsmoke Western v1 #32, 1955 - An old gunfighter rides into town, intending to right the wrongs of his past misdeeds. This tale of redemption is ably illustrated by
Matt Baker. Sensitive cross-hatching and linework add a richness rarely seen in western comics. Facial close-ups have depth and emotive power. Baker's layouts also have a more cinematic feel, a natural evolution of his style. This story was later reprinted in
Western Gunfighters v2 #3. Other artists in this
first issue include Jack Keller and Mort Drucker. Cover by Joe Maneely. This is 1 of 4
