Sword of Sorcery #3 - Bernie Wrightson art & cover, Walt Simonson art

Bernie Wrightson
Sword of Sorcery v1 #3, 1973 - The chronicles of Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser continue, encountering harpies, flying ships and other oddities. Bernie Wrightson's inks add little to the clumsily composed cover, but inside his efforts smooth out some of the rough edges. His work on the opening splash, depicting the ship's nefarious crew, is especially good. Although uncredited, Wrightson, Walt Simonson and Dan Green seem to have inked most of the pages. This is number 3 of 3 Sword of Sorcery issues with Wrightson art and/or covers and number 1 of 3 Sword of Sorcery issues with Simonson art and/or covers.
