Star Wars #13 - John Byrne cover

John Byrne
Star Wars v1 #13, 1978 - Han Solo's partner runs amok on this busy John Byrne cover. Although Chewbacca is the focal point, the secondary figures of Luke Skywalker, R2D2 and C3PO lack hierarchy and compete against one another. Lack of visual breathing space further complicates the layout. Note that this series adapted the George Lucas film in the first six issues, but developed new stories from issue #7 onward. Other artists in this bronze age science fiction comic include Carmine Infantino and Terry Austin. This is 1 of 2 Star Wars issues by Byrne.

So much wrong here: Marvel Star Wars took six issues to complete the movie adaptation. Also, Per Byrne, this is the ONLY cover that John Byrne pencilled for Marvel Star Wars. Byrne drew this cover based on a sketch provided by Marvel. THe other official work that Byrne drew was a pinup of C3PO getting blown upn on Bespin, not a cover.

I didn't say Byrne drew 2 covers. I said Byrne did 2 issues (#13 and #43), which can be either covers or interiors. You are correct about the six issues for the movie adaption.
