Iron Fist #15 - John Byrne art

Iron Fist v1 #15 x-men bronze age marvel comic book cover art by Dave Cockrum
Iron Fist #15
Iron Fist v1 #15, 1977 - In this final issue of the series, a simple misunderstanding leads to a free-for-all between Iron Fist and the new X-men. This crossover features early appearances of Wolverine, Storm, Colossus and Nightcrawler. Like Marvel Team-up #53 and X-men #108, this issue marks one of John Byrne's early renditions of the team. The artwork is thoroughly entertaining, displaying each character's personality and special ability. Though Dan Green is credited, the inks on the last three pages look suspiciously like Dave Cockrum, the new X-men's initial artist (who also draws the terrific cover). This is 15 of 15 Iron Fist issues by Byrne. /// Byrne gallery

This story comes chronologically after X-men 108, and should be considred Byrne's second "full" (MTU #53 is his first "partial" X-men story) X-men outing. Considering the continuity (such as Wolverine's alien costume), I doubt the stories were drawn out of sequence.
