Thor #180 |
Thor v1 #180, 1970 - Loki, in the guise of Thor, goes on a rampage throughout the city. The real Thor (now in the body of Loki) fights on despite the turn of events.
Neal Adams' realistic approach is different from the earlier expressionism of Jack Kirby, but no less enjoyable. The artist completes the job with skill and enthusiasm, despite some incompatibility with the inking style. Adams' hand is more evident on some panels more than others, but enough to be distinctive. His renditions of Balder and Lady Sif (pages 9-11), Mephisto (page 10) and the Warriors Three (pages 17-19) all benefit from his talents. Other artists in this bronze age comic include John Buscema and Marie Severin (cover). This is 2 of 3
