Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #276, 1963 - Donald Duck takes a job as a lakeside lifeguard, but finds himself competing with the Junior Woodchuck's heroic hound. Carl Barks draws the tale dutifully, but saves his best efforts on the wide panels of forest vistas. This story was later reprinted in Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #467. The artist also supplies artwork for the Donald Duck portion of the cover. Other characters featured in this issue include Zorro, Scamp, Brer Rabbit, Mickey Mouse and L'il Bad Wolf. Other artists in this silver age comic include Paul Murry. This is 236 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
