Magnus Robot Fighter #16 - Russ Manning art

Magnus Robot Fighter #16
Magnus Robot Fighter v1 #16, 1967 - Looking for a little girl and her talking dog, Magnus and Leeja solicit the aid of Danae and her intelligent neo-animals. Their descent into the lower levels brings a welcome change of venue from the usual gleaming cityscapes. Russ Manning's junkpiles, discarded robots and human outcasts (known as Gophs) are expertly drawn. Perhaps the most poignant scene is the last panel, depicting a view of North Am from the perspective of an underground citizen. This story was later reprinted in Magnus Robot Fighter #39 and Vintage Magnus Robot Fighter #4. This is 16 of 21 Magnus Robot Fighter issues by Manning. /// Manning gallery / original page
