Werewolf By Night v1 #2, 1972 - Kidnapped by a man named Cephalos, Jack Russell's transformative energy is siphoned off for nefarious purposes. Mike Ploog's style may be a tad unpolished, but superbly expressive. His opening splash page features the Werewolf leaping off the page toward the reader. This arresting image is definitively the story's highlight Frank Chiaramonte's inks remain faithful to Ploog's pencils for the most part.
