Swamp Thing v1 #16, 1975 - Washing ashore on a remote island, the Swamp Thing is rescued by a mysterious priestess that can raise the dead. Nestor Redondo's layouts are a bit more crowded than previous issues, but maintains a high level of draftsmanship. The encroaching zombies on page 15 are eerily compelling. Redondo replicates the scene for the cover, offsetting the distraction of the Swamp Thing's mis-proportioned arm with exquisite detailing overall. This is 6 of 13 Swamp Thing issues by Redondo. /// Redondo gallery / original page
