Korak Son of Tarzan v1 #1, 1964 - Now a teenager, Korak makes his first appearance in comics with this debut issue. Russ Manning, a longtime artist on Tarzan, brings his talents to this new title. His two stories vary in length, but his artwork in both shows a high level of craft. The second, about a trio of greedy miners, has more varied settings and characters. A large panel showing an underground dig (page 7) is brilliantly composed and awash in detail. Painted cover.
