Front Page Comic Book v1 #1, 1945 - Cutting into the horror genre, Harvey Comics publishes this one-shot first issue. In Joe Kubert's tale, an American army officer is stationed in the frozen North. Curious to see Eskimo villages up close, he instead finds Japanese soldiers forming a base. Kubert's art is nicely detailed, opening with an octopus metaphor for Japanese expansion. His horror cover is unrelated but sharply drawn. Other artists in this issue include George Roussos and Lou Ferstadt. Cover by Bob Fujitani.
