Thor v1 #354, 1985 - Odin is gone. Asgard is in ruins. The demon armies of Surtur are vanquished. In the aftermath, Hela, goddess of the underworld emerges as a new threat to the thunder god. The pace of
Walt Simonson's artwork also slows, but maintains its level of craftsmanship. His depiction of Hela is less elaborate than
Jack Kirby's and far less preferred. The cover also seems less thoughtful than previous issues.
