| Jimmy Wakely #1 |
Jimmy Wakely v1 #1, 1949 - Featuring the famous Hollywood cowboy, this first issue continues his adventures in comic book form. In three separate stories, Jimmy is mistaken for a legendary lawman, a movie shoot at a "ghost town" brings bad luck, and a young boy stumbles upon a gang of postal thieves. Alex Toth illustrates all three with a degree of effort, but still falls below his usual standards. Since all three tales have different inkers, there's opportunity to compare and contrast the works.- - - - - - - - - -
