Intimate Love #21 - Alex Toth art

Intimate Love v1 #21, 1953 - Reinventing her looks and personality, a secretary sets off to exotic Puerto Rico to find a suitable potential husband. Torn between two suitors, Eve has trouble deciding between the two. Alex Toth's mastery of layout and design is evident, especially on the intimate opening scene. Panels and pages vary in size and quantity, enhancing visual interest. Mike Peppe, as usual, augments the pencils with his sensitive inking. Notably, Toth also employs shadows and silhouettes to establish mood and increase depth and contrast. Other artists in this issue include John Celardo, Sid Greene, Rocco Mastroserio and Vernon Greene. This is number 2 of 4 Intimate Love issues with Toth art and/or covers.
