Queen of the West Dale Evans #10 - Russ Manning art

Queen of the West Dale Evans v1 #10, 1956 - Newly escaped from prison, a convict aims to murder each person responsible for putting him away. In the second feature, a man labeled as a coward looks for the chance to win the hand of the sheriff's daughter. Both tales are sufficiently drawn by Russ Manning, whose wholesome style seems tailor-made for the series. "The Heroic Coward" benefits from a large, panoramic scene on page 9 (see below) but both stories meet artistic expectations in general. Other artists in this issue include Sparky Moore. This is number 7 of 15 Queen of the West Dale Evans issues with Manning art and/or covers. See today's posts or more Manning or Queen of the West Dale Evans issues.
