Avengers Annual #16 - Marshall Rogers, non-attributed Al Williamson art

Avengers annual #16
Avengers Annual v1 #16, 1987 - The Grandmaster seeks to begin the universe anew by destroying the current one. The Avengers and West Coast Avengers joins forces against dead heroes and super-villains. The story divides into several chapters, each drawn by a different artist. Marshall Rogers illustrates a Silver Surfer segment (see interior page below), sadly a mediocre effort during his least impressive period. Al Williamson does marginally better with his inks over Keith Pollard's chaotic pencils. Perhaps the first two pages are his most memorable. Other artists in this copper age comic include Jackson Guice and Kevin Nowlan. This is 1 of 1 Avengers annual issues by Rogers and 1 of 1 Avengers annual issues by Williamson

That Pollard She-Hulk v Destroyer panel is a proper Gil Kane-style punch!
