Attack on Planet Mars - Wally Wood, Joe Kubert art

Attack on Planet Mars v1 #nn, 1951 - A man named Tarrano seeks conquest by assassinating leaders on Earth, Venus and Mars. This lengthy tale features art by Joe Kubert, who inks the first chapter over Carmine Infantino's pencils. While his finishes are competent, Kubert's preview on the inside front cover is bolder and far more exciting. In Wally Wood's back-up tale, a couple travels to a remote part of Austria, only to be attacked by a man-beast. His drawings are very crude, struggling with both faces and figures (see interior page below). This effort unfortunately shows little of his true potential. Although Wood is credit with both pencils and inks, some of the panels looks suspiciously like Sid Check had an assist. This is number 1 of 1 Attack on Planet Mars issues with Kubert art and/or covers and number 1 of 1 Attack on Planet Mars issues with Wood art and/or covers.
