Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #35 - Carl Barks art

Walt Disney's Comics and Stories #35
Walt Disney's Comics and Stories v1 #35, 1943 - Visiting a dude ranch, Donald Duck and the boys ride out to the desert and consequently lose their way. Carl Barks is just beginning to shape these characters into the iconic figures they would be known for today. His drawings, while generally skillful, are mostly offset by minimal and sometimes repetitive layouts. Other features in this issue include Mickey Mouse and Little Hiawatha. Other artists in this golden age comic include Al Taliaferro. Cover by Walt Kelly. This is 5 of 280 Walt Disney's Comics and Stories issues by Barks.
