Creepy #69 |
Creepy magazine v1 #69, 1975 - Bernie Wrightson's inside front cover features yet another duotone (black and purple) portrait. Opening his tome, Uncle Creepy announces the theme for this issue: a collection of Edgar Allen Poe adaptations. Wrightson's line quality is superb throughout the illustration. The careful rendering of wood grains on the podium and background are a testament to his skill. Other artists in this bronze age magazine include Richard Corben and Vincente Alcazar. Cover by Ken Kelly. This is 7 of 19
