Ghost Manor v2 #22 - Steve Ditko art, Don Newton art & cover

Don Newton
Ghost Manor v2 #22, 1975 - An executioner dotes over his electric chair, recalling many of the victims he killed over the years. After a slow start, Steve Ditko's engaging layouts and sometimes jarring artwork reflect the lead character's twisted nature. Don Newton tells a tale of a young man who inherits an old, decrepit mansion. The artist employs phenomenal texture and brushwork in nearly every panel (see interior page below). His inventive panel shapes occur at key points of the plot, heightening the somber mood and its effects. In addition to the outstanding story art, Newton also contributes a decent cover and an excellent page on a famous writer's sole mystery novel. This is 21 of 28 Ghost Manor v2 issues by Ditko and 3 of 4 Ghost Manor v2 issues by Newton
